“I have been an advanced practice psychiatric nurse since 2005, garnering extensive experience treating patients with medication and psychotherapy. I am a US Navy retiree and have worked in group practices, with the Squaxin Island Tribe, integrated primary care practices, and in solo private practice. In addition to providing expert clinical care, I take pride in being responsive, authentic, compassionate, and building solid therapeutic relationships which are crucial to effective outcomes. Lifelong learning is a passion of mine, and I continually seek opportunities to further my education and learn from others. I am an active member of my professional associations, enjoy collaborative relationships with colleagues, and precept graduate nursing students.”

Kasey Sullivan, MSN, ARNP, PMHNP-BC
Individual Therapy & Medication Management
"I am committed to providing an authentic, approachable, and non-judgmental experience for all my clients. I believe in creating an inclusive space where everyone feels welcome and respected. As a lifelong learner, I am constantly seeking new knowledge and skills to better support my clients and address their unique needs. I'm a little bit East Coast and a little bit West Coast, bringing diverse perspectives to my practice. With 15 years of nursing experience across various specialties, I discovered a common theme that shaped my career path: the critical need for more mental health care in our communities. This realization inspired me to focus on mental health, where I aim to build a trusting relationship where you feel heard, understood, and empowered on your journey."

Rachel Johnson
Business Manager, Group Skills Leader
& Co-Founder
“I value an individual’s autonomy, identity, and well-being above all else. My passion and dedication to creating this program have been a result of my own personal journey navigating CPTSD for the majority of my life. Pierce and Kitsap Counties have historically been lacking in quality in-person mental health services, and I experienced that personally a few years ago when I was seeking the support of a DBT adherent intensive outpatient program for myself. I serve Mindset’s clients directly by overseeing all of Mindset’s business operations, providing education on DBT skills to the group, and offering peer support to enrolled individuals in whatever ways I can. I strongly believe that every person has the power to overcome life’s challenges if they have been provided the correct “toolbox” to do so. My personal office has an open-door policy, and I welcome any and everyone to come to me with any questions, comments, concerns, or troubles.”

Mabel Bongmba, MD

Dr. Bongmba is a board-certified psychiatrist. Dr. Bongmba is a dedicated advocate for equity and inclusion in healthcare. She is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and has been recognized for her contributions to patient safety and excellence.

Brock Pohl, SUDP

"My name is Brock Pohl , and I have worked as a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) for the past 14 years at a residential treatment facility serving a primarily Indigenous population. Throughout my career, I have utilized a trauma-informed approach while helping clients develop practical skills through Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and other evidence-based interventions. I earned an Asssociate of Applied Science in Human Services from Tacoma Community College in 2015, a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in Psychology and Philosophy from The Evergreen State College in 2018 and am currently completing my first year of the Master of Arts in Counseling program at Saint Martin's University.
